Santa Barbara is home to several world champion surfers. If you would like to put yourself on this list or learn what it means to get "STOKED" get started with a lesson with one of our professional instructors.

Surfing a wave is a combination of several skills, having an eye for waves, and an instinct to catch them. With more and more people catching the "stoke" learning surf etiquette is more important than ever.

A lesson with CIO covers:

• Surf etiquette.
• Reading waves and ocean conditions.
• Getting to the "line-up"
• The "take-off" and "pop-up".
• Techniques of riding waves.

Included in your lesson:

• Surfboard (6-10 feet) and leash.
• Wetsuit.
• Professional feedback.
