Healthy and Delicious Food for your Channel Islands National Park Adventures
We have partnered with Channel Islands Provisioners to provide organic, local, yummy food for you to pick-up at your ferry the morning of your departure, some exceptions apply (see below).
In short, due to National Park Service rules, we are not allowed to provide you with food service on the islands. Therefor you will be required to pick-up you box lunch at the ferry in Ventura and transport your box lunch we provide for you in your own cooler/s throughout the day.
If you book a ferry ticket through us, you will receive your food when you check-in with your guides. If you booked the ferry on your own, and are on the same ferry as our guides for the day, you’ll also get your food at check-in. If you booked your own ferry, and are not on the same ferry as our guides, or you are camping and participating a different day than your ferry departure, a box lunch will not be available and we will reduce your adventure fee by $10.

- Cueva Chicken Sandwich or Salad – herb marinated Jidori organic chicken breast, apple slaw with cilantro-yogurt dressing, sharp cheddar cheese, baguette or organic mixed greens tossed in extra virgin olive oil.
- Orizaba Italian Sandwich or Salad – dry Italian salami, mortadella, smoked ham, provisioner’s giardiniera (olive tempenade), dijon aioli, provolone, mozzarella, baguette or organic mixed greens tossed in extra virgin olive oil.
Kale Salad – spiced white bean and dried tomato humus, char broiled eggplant, seasonal greens with lemon and extra virgin olive oil, heirloom carrots, Persian cucumbers, organic mixed greens tossed in extra virgin olive oil.
- Pesto Roasted Sweet Potato Sandwich – goat cheese, basil pesto, pickle red onion, baguette
- Organic Snack- plantain chips and corn nuts.

Since a box lunch is included in your adventure, this price is only good as an upgrade, not a stand-alone price for food. If you are only looking for food, contact Channel Islands Provisioners.

*Pricing: All food is locally sourced and therefore options vary based on the availability of certain vegetables and other items like fresh fish. Stove & Kitchen Rentals$40/night
You can rent a kitchen kit and 2-burner propane stove (with canister). Kitchen kits are for 6 people and are equipped and ready for all above meals to be heated in a stainless steel boiling pot using our 2 burner propane stoves. They also include plates, bowls, cutlery, flatware, cups, cutting board, coffee filter, frying pan, cleaning supplies, and a table cloth. We also rent tents ($15/night), sleeping pads ($6/night), sleeping bags ($10/night), and camp chairs ($4/night). If you are traveling and want to camp but don’t have the gear and time, we’ll take care of you!
NOTE: You must be on an adventure with us in order to rent camping gear or select the Camping Catering options, therefore, these are only available through phone orders.
Neal has been passionate about food and sailing all of his adult life. He grew up in an environment rich in the philosophy of serving “Farm to Table” foods, and menus that changed with our seasons. This has led to a career of over 30 years in the food and beverage service industry. He was formally trained in service, working over the years with an array of talented Chefs. He owned and was Chef of two restaurants and has consulted on many more.
Neal started sailing in 1973 while living in Hawaii. Over the course of the next 40 years he has owned three boats and has crewed and cooked on many. He skippered day boat charters in Lahina Maui, cruised Baja California and sailed to and from Hawaii. Currently based out of Ventura, he cruises around the Southern California coast and the Channel Islands.
