Channel Islands National ParkTake a Trip Back in Time:
Only 90 miles from one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world rests an ancient island chain known as the Channel Islands. In total there are 8 islands off of the Southern California coast but only 5 of those are part of the Channel Islands National Park. From East to West the islands are known as Santa Barbara Island, Anacapa Island, Santa Cruz Island, Santa Rosa Island, and San Miguel Island. Getting to the islands is easier today than it has ever been. Boats depart from Santa Barbara Harbor, Ventura Harbor, and Channel Islands Harbor all year-round. Each island has a campground and is serviced by ferry through Island Packers. Service to Santa Cruz Island occurs almost every day of the year, while service to the outer islands is limited and usually occurs during the Summer.

Where to Go?
People often ask us, "What is your favorite island?" Answering that would be akin to choosing a favorite child... so we defer by saying, "Each Island has something special to offer!" Learn More about each Island
